Once upon a time, on the east coast of Miami Beach, laid a beautiful mermaid. She swam close to shore as she grew curious about the humans who walked the Earth, specifically, what they were wearing. Everyday, she swam back, becoming more and more fascinated with their clothes but watching from a far could only do so much for the inquisitive mermaid. She had to know more. So, on a full moon, she used her mermaid magic to turn herself into a human and walked upon the Earth.
As time went by, she became entranced with the different colors, textures, and patterns these garments had to offer. But she quickly came to the realization that most of these garments were being mass produced in unethical ways to appease the consumer demand or what the land creatures called “fast fashion.” She later learned that fast fashion also causes serious environmental harm on land and in her home, the ocean. So, she wanted to figure out a way to make clothes of her own, while encapsulating her underwater world of what being a mermaid is like.
As human years went by, she taught herself everything there is to know about fashion, sewing, and garment construction. With that knowledge and a little help of her mermaid magic, she today creates alluring and eclectic one-of-a-kind pieces. The kind of pieces so captivating, it could lure a sailor to their doom.
